DURING the Shanghai World Expo, a series of "Global Forums" will be held at the United Nations Pavilion. The diverse topics covered by those Forums include urban development, health science, environment protection, public welfare and charities as well as a host of other areas. It is expected that over 100 cities, regions, organizations will be present at the Forums.
According to reports, the United Nations Global Forum`s main theme is "One Earth, One United Nations". Taking advantage of the platform provided by the Shanghai World Expo, it will seek to give even fuller play to the influence and appeal of the United Nations, and to showcase the models of social and economic development in various countries from different perspectives and to share and explore the various successful stories or experience worldwide.
