RECENTLY, the World Expo Performing Arts Center officially changed its name to Shanghai World Expo Culture Center. The name change more clearly defines the role of the Center in that it is no longer merely a performing arts venue, but a cultural focal area for performing arts, exhibition and entertainment.
During the World Expo in Shanghai, the Shanghai World Expo Culture Center will stage two performances a day on weekdays. During weekends, there will also be large-scale concerts and other such activities or events.
