Myanmar: Bumpy skies ahead

The Myanmar Department of Civil Aviation has refused to renew Yangon Airways operating license. The airline has yet to receive an official reason for the suspension, according to a report in eGlobal Travel News.
On Friday, the airline advised all travel and tour operators that services would end on December 3, 2010, until further notice.
The suspension of Yangon Airway s flight services coincides with Myanmar s peak tourist season, causing enormous problems for travellers.
