Indonesia and Singapore plan to develop joint cruise ship tourism. This agreement is part of the initiative to improve bilateral economic ties.
Hatta Rajasa, Indonesian coordinating minister for the economy, was quoted in eTurboNews as having said that the agreement was reached after a meeting between himself and Lim Hng Kiang, trade and industry minister, Singapore, recently.
Cruise ship tourism is only one of the six sectors the two countries wish to develop together. Others include civil aviation, manpower, agribusiness, investments, and cooperation in the special economic zones of Batam, Bintan and Karimun.
