As a famous traditional Chinese village of Hong Kong, Kim Tin Walled Village (Jiqingwei Village) is located in the side of Jintian Road of Jintian City and is jointly referred to as Six Villages of Jintian with other five villages. Deng Fuxie, an ancestor of Deng family lived here in North Song Dynasty then Deng Bojing and other two person built villages here to stay during Ming Dynasty. The wall of Kim Tin Walled Village was built during Kangxi Reign of Qing Dynasty to guard against thefts.

Built with bricks and surrounded by blockhouses, Kim Tin Walled Village has a moat near it. In 1899, when the New Territories was leased to British army, the British soldiers met the resisting of the local people in the region. In the end, the iron gate of the garden was destroyed and carried to Britain as a war booty, which was eventually returned to Hong Kong in 1924 at the request of local citizens.

In a rectangular shape (100 meters in length and 90 meters in width), Kat Hing Wai covers an area of 45 mu. The buildings of Kim Tin Walled Village are arranged orderly in symmetry. The brick wall of 6 meters' height, blockhouses at four corners as well as the moat outside are well preserved, and thus the old appearance is maintained.

There is a sole entrance and exit in the village where chains of metal gates are established. Outside the gate, there is a bronze board which records the history of Deng family. At present, Kim Tin Walled Village has been a frequent destination for foreign visitors and there are old men in country clothes for them to take photo with in front of the village.
