The Tibet Museum, located in the southeast corner of Norbulingka, Lhasa, is the first modern museum in Tibet. The museum was officially inaugurated in October of 1999, with a permanent collection that celebrates the History of Tibetan Culture. The exhibition hall in the museum is designed in the traditional Tibetan architectural style with Tibetan doors, beam-decoration, patterns and so on, aiming to create an atmosphere of authentic Tibetan art.
