Shenyang Steam Locomotive Museum
Located inside the Tiexi Forest Park, the Shenyang Steam Locomotive Museum is a two-storied tribute to the role that the steam locomotive played in developing China and especially China's north-east. The first floor functions as the exhibition hall and the second floor is equipped with a passage for sightseeing.
The museum is compromised of the three halls: a locomotive ornaments hall, a "corridor of patriotism" and a technology and development hall. There is also a "Railway bar" with a beer bar and a media room where videos regarding locomotive development are shown as well as many other exciting attractions.
One of the hall has a replica of the first steam locomotive ever built in China enabling tourists to experience the wonder and ingenuity of China's pioneer locomotive engineers. The museum also offers tourists a chance to get on specified old-style bubble cars to experience the work of a locomotive engineer.
