The 50-year-old former girlfriend of Sol Campbell and Nicky Clarke, tells Mandrake that she is to launch a clothing line next year. "It will be called Kelly Hoppen for Organic Couture," she said at a party at her headquarters in Notting Hill in aid of the Prince's Rainforests Project.
"We were approached by an organic company in Africa and so it's home clothes, sweat pants. All the samples have been made now so it's kind of scary."
Hoppen already offers paints that range from Kelly's Taupe to The Perfect Taupe and even In Love With Taupe.
Fatherly concern
Edward Enfield has tired of coarse humour on television, particularly when he hears it out of the mouth of his son, Harry. "I only laugh at one in four of his jokes," Enfield, 80, admitted at The Oldie lunch at Simpson's-in-the-Strand yesterday.
"I don't like his humour. I think it is too coarse. He always comes up with the same feeble excuse that it is his scriptwriters' fault when I complain."
Edward is a broadcaster of some repute and knows how to tell a joke. He had his luncheon companions Kate Adie and Martin Bell in stitches when he rose to say a few words. Bell said he would make a great comedian himself. "I only have one joke," he replied.
