Beginning Thursday, November 19, 2009, at 8:00 a.m., AJWright will open its doors to offer the community fresh winter fashions just in time for the holidays. AJWright is a leading off-price retailer that offers great deals on quality brand-name family apparel and footwear, accessories, home essentials, giftware, toys and more, all at up to 70 percent off discount and chain store prices. With the advent of one of the biggest holiday shopping days of the year, AJWright is the go-to retailer for Black Friday deals in Brooklyn.
The grand opening will feature an added bonus for early shoppers. The first 100 store visitors will receive a $20 gift card. The celebration will continue with an open casting call for aspiring AJWright models on Nov. 21, 2009, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
"We know fashion is a way of life in New York, and with evolving styles, shoppers are always on the lookout for a great deal," said Kathy Clair, AJWright assistant vice president of marketing. "With weekly merchandise changes, on any given day our customers can come in and find deals that fit their personality. This exciting community event continues a long-term relationship in New York."
AJWright regular store hours are Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The store will remain open until 10:00 p.m. Thursday to accommodate grand opening shoppers.
In addition to creating more than 95 new jobs in Brooklyn, AJWright has partnered with the Madison Square Boys & Girls Club, Thomas S. Murphy Clubhouse, to support much-needed neighborhood programs. Grand opening festivities kick off Thursday at 7:45 a.m. with a special donation and presentation to the Thomas S. Murphy Clubhouse.
A representative from the Boys & Girls Club, as well as local dignitaries, will be present as AJWright makes a donation to the organization. AJWright supports Boys & Girls Clubs of America on a corporate level with several programs throughout the year.
"This generous donation will go to support essential community programs, which is much needed during the upcoming holidays," said Stan King, Thomas S. Murphy Clubhouse unit director. "We truly appreciate all that AJWright has done for our program and the surrounding community."
