Two-Four-Six-Eight show us how you celebrate! Gap is taking its holiday cheer on the road this year with its official Gap "Cheer" Squad & Drumline. Starting on Black Friday, this spirited group of 12 professional dancers and drummers kicked-off a multi-city tour, which includes street performances in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Traveling in a buffalo plaid bus, the group took Manhattan's hottest neighborhoods by storm this weekend and will be popping up at holiday hotspots and malls throughout the holiday season to spread cheer with live performances and free giveaways like jean certificates for a free pair of 1969 Premium Jeans and "Buy One, Get One 50% Off" coupons.
"Gap always brings great style and tremendous spirit to the holiday season," said Ivy Ross, Executive Vice President of Marketing. "This year we wanted to add a dose of optimism and joy to the season by spreading holiday cheer across the country and asking America to show us how they celebrate. Our energetic cheer squad and drumline will no doubt bring the Christmas and holiday spirit to life and bring a smile to all this season."
The tour is part of Gap's 2009 holiday campaign noted for its vibrant, dancing adults and kids belting out holiday cheers while showing off the essential winter looks including buffalo plaid shirts, Navajo-inspired prints, Fair Isle sweaters and cozy accessories to keep everyone looking chic while staying warm this winter for prices that won't break the bank.
