Fibre manufacturer Lenzing Group is putting substantial investment of EUR120m in its Europe and Asia next year to upgrade its existing production capacity.
Key investments include expansion of the pulp production at the Lenzing site in Upper Austria by 10,000 tons to 60,000 tons per year, and adding an eco-friendly ozone bleach facility for pulp production at Heiligenkreuz in Austria.
It also intends to produce a new Tencel fibre by renovating the Tencel site at Grimsby in the UK.
A US$150m fourth production line is about to be opened at its Indonesian subsidiary PT South Pacific Viscose (SPV), which will increase fibre production capacity from 160,000 to 220,000 tons per year.
