Charles Parsons & Co are pleased to announce the acquisition of the assets of Line7 Limited, which includes 100% ownership of the brand IP and all registered trade-marks world-wide.
Line7 began life in 1963, making wet weather clothing for sailors. The company has provided clothing for crews in the America's cup, Round the World yacht races and the Olympics, as well as motor racing gear. Over the years the brand has grown to become a New Zealand icon in the retail lifestyle, agricultural and marine clothing markets.
Andrew Mills, Group Managing Director:
"We are really excited to have acquired this iconic NZ brand and we believe that there are tremendous synergies between the core values of Line7, the technical sourcing capabilities that we have on hand as a long term supplier to Line7, and the overall sales culture of our company.
Our plans for the short term are to expand Line7 over to Australia and focus on the agricultural and marine apparel businesses both sides of the Tasman. We then plan to graduate into offshore markets with other brands at a later stage.
We are delighted to be able to add a new business unit to our portfolio."
