Metro-Detroit based business celebrates the grand opening of Destination Style Boutique. Located at 29107 Northwestern Highway in the Franklin Plaza Shopping Center in Southfield, Michigan, Destination Style officially opened for business on December 22, 2009.
What started off as a home-based business, Destination Style developed a small, but loyal following of women who were looking for distinctive women's apparel and accessories – but at moderate prices. Buoyed by the feedback from customers at home, as well as trade shows and expos, the idea of making the concept available to the masses was born and soon after, brought to fruition.
"Previously, metro Detroit women had numerous shopping choices for moderately priced women's apparel & accessories aside from department stores, including Gantos and Winkelman's," says owner Candice Yopp. "Over the years, our options have dwindled down to either going to a department store where you would likely have the same look as your neighbor or outrageously priced boutiques where you may go broke trying to assemble your wardrobe. Destination Style will seek to fill that void by offering women the types of apparel, accessories and service one would expect to find in a boutique, but not at typical boutique prices."

Women's Apparel – Specializing in Missy & Plus Sizes
Accessories – Unique handbags and jewelry, featuring local jewelry designer Barbara Standberry
Footwear – A refreshingly edited presentation of everything from sandals to boots
Hosiery – Including SPANX shapewear
Destination Style Boutique also has an online component where customers can also shop, including free in-store pickup.
Though the store opened shortly before Christmas, the grand opening celebration is scheduled to take place at the Southfield, MI location on January 24, 2010 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. with a portion of that day's sales being donated to Karmanos Cancer Institute.Among other activities, attendees can look forward to complimentary makeup applications and giveaways.
