Polytama operates a 230,000 mt/year polypropylene plant at Balongan, West Java, and Pertamina typically supplies about 15,000-16,000 mt of propylene to Polytama every month.
The supplies come from Pertamina's 83,000 b/d residue fluid catalytic cracker, also located at Balongan, which can make 250,000 mt/year of propylene.
One of the sources said due to the halt in feedstock supply, Polytama can operate its PP plant only at about 50% of capacity.
Another source said Polytama owes about $600 million to Pertamina.
