Plastics Pioneers names three new members

MCHENRY, May 10- The Plastics Pioneers Association announced three new members -- Dennis Richmond of Nypro Inc., Glenn Anderson Jr. of Milacron LLC and Al Hodge of R&B Plastics Machinery LLC.

PPA President Vince Witherup made the announcement. PPA membership is limited to 250 active members, who must have 25 or more years of experience in the industry. An existing PPA member must sponsor each nominee. They are judged on their contributions to the industry s advancement.

Dennis Richmond is Nypro s global quote systems manager for packaging. Before joining the Clinton, Mass-based Nypro, he was product specialist and key account manager for Milacron. He also has worked at KraussMaffei Corp., Hunkar Laboratories Inc. and HPM.

Glenn Anderson is Milacron s vice president and general manager of North American injection machinery and global extrusion business. Prior to his 20 years of experience at the Batavia, Ohio-based Milacron, he worked at Sterling Extruder Corp. Anderson has held several leadership posts at the Society of the Plastics Industry Inc., including vice chair of the Equipment Council and vice chairman of the NPE2009 operations committee. He serves on the executive committee for NPE2012. Anderson has been an active member of the Society of Plastics Engineers since 1984.

Al Hodge has worked in the plastics industry since the early 1980s. He has served with Davis-Standard LLC, Standex Engraving Corp., Facts Inc. and Portage Industries Corp. Hodge has been a member of SPE since 1980, and has been active on several SPI business units. Earlier this year, he was promoted to president of R&B Moldings LLC, which covers R&B Plastics Machinery in Saline, Mich., as well as Monroe Mold and R&B Real Estate.
