May 11-The UK s latest training academy for the polymer industry is officially opening its doors this May.
The Polymer Training and Innovation Centre (PTIC), based in Telford, is being officially opened on 18 May by Philip Jones, chief executive of the National Skills Academy Process Industries (NSAPI).
Key industry figures will be attending the event to get a first glimpse of the new facilities on offer at the centre, which forms part of City of Wolverhampton College s Telford campus.
The launch coincides with PTIC s appearance at PDM, The Plastics Design and Moulding Exhibition and Conference, which starts on the same day at Telford International Centre.
Operations manager Charmaine Bowers said: Our new centre is located just five minutes from Telford International Centre, just off Junction 4 of the M54, so we are urging all delegates to drop in on their way to or from the exhibition to have a look round, chat to staff and find out about funding opportunities and the training on offer.
The centre, which has been running courses since April, is open for people to drop in from 10am. The official launch takes place at 4pm.
To receive an invitation for the launch please contact operations manager Charmaine Bowers on 01952 610101.
