April 21-China's gasoline and diesel prices may rise in early April, and the increase will probably be within 300 yuan ($44), reported Economic Information Daily.
The crude oil prices of Brent, Dubai and Cinta, to which China's oil price is linked, have had daily fluctuations of more than 4 percent for 22 working days in a row, a situation requiring domestic oil price adjustments, according to the oil pricing mechanism introduced by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) in December 2008.
Because China's CPI climbed to 2.7 percent in February, close to the three percent inflation control line, the hike will be maintained below 300 yuan per ton, Chief Analyst Zhong Jian with oilgas.com.cn said.
The hike is expected to be 200 yuan, if the price rises the same 4 percent as the international crude oil price, and the earliest time will probably be this Friday or next week, said Liao Kaishun, an analyst with CBI China.
