p> PUWORLD(2010-4-15) DSM is very likely to have its 200kt/y caprolactam facility located in Nanjing undertaken maintenance in July, a market source said recently.
The facility finished expansion in middle of March and yielded qualified products in late March. The source also said that the turnaround period to last for about 3 weeks.
Caprolactam is an important organic chemical raw material. It is mainly used to produce nylon 6 engineering plastics and nylon 6 fibers. In addition, caprolactam can also be used to produce antiplatelet drug 6-aminocaproic acid and laurocapram. It has extensive applications.
