BEIJING, May 18 - Asia's top refiner Sinopec Group is expected to process 15.57 million tonnes of crude oil in May, or 3.67 million barrels per day, the official People's Daily reported over the weekend, citing information from the group.
That would be marginally higher than the 15.04 million tonnes in April and 14.93 million tonnes in March and far above the 13.08 million tonnes in the last month of 2008, the newspaper said.
The group, operating most of its businesses via listed Sinopec Corp (600028.SS)(0386.HK)(SNP.N), sold 9.91 million tonnes of refined fuel products in April, up nearly 20 percent from the 8.3 million tonnes in January, according to the report.
