MUMBAI - Indian shares opened higher but quickly turned negative before pulling up on Wednesday as higher oil prices rekindled inflation expectations and the possibility of higher interest rates.
At 9:57 a.m. (0427 GMT), the 30-share BSE index was up 0.01 percent, or 1.01 points, at 14,483.23. It opened 0.6 percent up but fell as low as 14,480.32.
The 50-issue NSE index rose 0.21 percent to 4,346.70.
