The Viet Nam Institute of Industrial Chemistry (VIIC), under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, has inaugurated a national laboratory of the petrochemical refining technology in Hanoi on January 22.
The lab is one of 19 major labs over the country, which will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. The lab will help to broaden the application of the world's advanced technologies, as well as to train scientific researchers. The lab targets to have its facilities and staff meeting the regional standards by 2010 and become a prestigious consultancy centre for businesses in the oil and gas industry as well as a link for international cooperation in the field.
