Eastman Increases Resin Intermediates Prices on January 1

KINGSPORT, Tenn., Dec. 14, 2007 - Eastman Chemical Company is increasing prices on the following products effective Jan. 1. These increases are due to elevated operating costs, particularly in raw materials, energy and freight.

Eastman AAEM: List and off-list price increase of $US 0.10 /lb ($US 0.22/kg, Euro 0.15/kg) globally.

Eastman DMCD, All Grades: List and off-list price increase of $US 0.15 /lb ($US 0.33/kg, Euro 0.22/kg) globally.

Eastman TMPD Glycol, All Grades: List and off-list price increase of $US 0.05 /lb ($US 0.11/kg, Euro 0.08/kg) globally.

Eastman HPHP Glycol, All Grades: List and off-list price increase of $US 0.10 /lb ($US 0.22/kg, Euro 0.15/kg) globally.

Eastman CHDM Glycol, All Grades: List and off-list price increase of $US 0.07 /lb ($US 0.16/kg, Euro 0.11/kg) globally.

Eastman NPG Glycol, All Grades: List and off-list price increase of $US 0.07 /lb ($US 0.15/kg) in North America.

Eastman NPG Glycol, All Grades: List and off-list price increase of $US 0.05 /lb ($US 0.10/kg) in Latin America and Asia Pacific.

Eastman NPG Glycol, All Grades: List and off-list price increase of $US 0.07 /lb ($US 0.16/kg, Euro 0.11/kg) in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
