CBMI - Tanzania TCCL project on completion

Recently, Tanzania TCCL project under contract with CBMI completed.Tanzanian President Kikwete, Dr. Mary Nagu, Minister of Market Trade and Industry of Tanzania, and Mr. Liu Jianmin, Party Secretary of CBMI attended the completion ceremony.

Tanzania TCCL project is the second EPC project of CBMI in Tanzania. The project is located in Tanga, a coastal city of East Tanzania. The contract was signed in December, 2007. Project management has been done by Holcim Trading according to the quality standard of Holcim. The engineering includes auxiliary material crushing, clinker warehouse, cement mill, cement packing and truck loading.

In the ceremony, Mr. Charles, Chairman of the board of South Africa Holding, which is the investor of the owner, announced the successful completion of the new cement mill system. Then, President Kikwete delivered a speech. He affirmed the important role that the Chinese people have played in the construction of Tanzania. He expressed welcome to competent Chinese enterprises to make investment and construction in Tanzania. Executive Director of Tanga Cement Plant, the owner of the project, expressed gratitude to CBMI. He considered cooperation with CBMI a win-win action.

Before the ceremony, Mr. Liu Jianmin had a meeting with the management team of Tanga Cement Plant and the senior management of Holcim Trading. The both parties expressed their hope for further cooperation.
