Baosteel Tops the List of Daqing Oil Field's AAA Class Strategic Suppliers

A few days ago, Daqing Oil Field selected 8 suppliers out of 50 key suppliers as the first batch of AAA class strategic suppliers, in which Baosteel tops the list with leading advantages. Daqing Oil Field believes that Baosteel has set up an example for the suppliers in terms of supply chain management and strategic cooperation.

Daqing Oil Field is the largest oil field in China. Baosteel and Daqing Oil Field have maintained a strategic partnership featuring mutual trust and win-win over many years. Baosteel International's Steeltrading Co., Ltd. actively constructs the sales platform dedicated for steel tubes and coordinates closely with the relative departments of Baosteel to provide the customers with "one-stop" close-by service by customer representatives for regional markets.

Last year, Baosteel supplied various tubing and casing totaling 19,630t to Daqing Oil Field, and achieved breakthrough in the cooperation for new trials of Hi-tech and high value added products. A series of new products such as 3Cr, 13Cr premium joints and P110 grade technical casing have been successfully developed in succession, among which, 3Cr realized 100% import substitution, cutting down the cost and improving the efficiency for Daqing Oil Field by 30%; super 13Cr were tried out in 2 wells, breaking the monopoly by imported products; the exclusive product P110 grade casing produced with high-frequency resistance straight welding technology substitute the seamless steel tubes for the first time and is applied in the oil production.
