South Korean bank buys 18% of Jilin bank

South Korea's Hana Bank bought an 18 percent stake of Bank of Jilin on Tuesday to expand retail banking operations in China, Xinhuanet.com reported.

South Korea's fourth-largest lender said it had won approval from China's banking regulator to purchase 1.2 billion shares of Bank of Jilin for 1.8 yuan per share.
