BEIJING: Senior Chinese official Zhou Yongkang met with Russia's anti-drug officials on Wednesday, and the two sides agreed to enhance anti-drug cooperation.
Zhou hailed Sino-Russian political ties and suggested the two sides enhance regular consultation and cooperation in anti-drug efforts.
The two sides should enhance coordination, support each other and strengthen law enforcement cooperation to jointly prevent drug trafficking and give hard strike on drug-related crimes, said Zhou, a Standing Committee member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
Russian anti-drug officials also expressed the hope to enhance cooperation with China to cope with drug threat.
