HEFEI: UPS, the world's largest package-delivery company, will build its largest service sharing base in Asia-Pacific region in eastern China, local authorities said Saturday.
UPS has signed a memorandum of collaboration with the municipal government of Hefei, capital of Anhui province, the city's publicity department said in a statement.
UPS is expected to start construction in August this year.
Richard Loi, vice-president of UPS Asia-Pacific, said the base will help improve efficiency as the company will outsource some un-core businesses.
The base will allow UPS to better focus on its core business, said Loi.
