NEW YORK - Avon Products Inc has suspended four executives as it investigates alleged bribery that began with the company's China operation and now involves a dozen or more countries, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Avon suspended the president, chief financial officer and top government affairs executive at its China unit, in addition to a senior executive in New York who until last year was Avon's head of internal audit, according to the Journal, which cited a person familiar with the probe.
A spokeswoman confirmed that four employees had been asked to take administrative leave of absence pending the outcome of the investigation, the Journal said.
