With immediate effect or as contracts allow, BASF is increasing the sales price for glyoxal worldwide.
Europe: + 40 EUR/mt
USA / South America: + 66 USD/mt, 0.03 USD/lb
Asia: + 100 USD/mt
These price adjustments are necessary to support BASF's ongoing efforts to assure highest levels of product and service quality to its customers globally in times of continued increases in raw materials and energy costs.
BASF supplies glyoxal as an intermediate for the chemical industry and for a variety of other industrial applications. Glyoxal is used, for example, in manufacturing paper, polymers, textiles and leather goods. BASF is one of the world's leading producers of glyoxal with an annual capacity of 80.000 tons worldwide and plants in Ludwigshafen, Germany and Geismar, Louisiana (USA).
