Crude prices retreat after touch record high

NEW YORK, Sept. 14 (Xinhua) -- Crude prices retreated Friday after setting a new record high on profit taking.
Light, sweet crude for October delivery was down 99 cents to settle at 79.10 dollars a barrel after rising as high as 80.36 dollars, setting a new intraday high.
London Brent crude fell 90 cents to 76.22 dollars a barrel.
Crude futures topped 80 dollars a barrel Thursday on shrinking U.S. inventories and storm concerns.
On Friday, October gasoline fell 1 cent to settle at 2.0364 dollars a gallon. Heating oil fell 1.12 cents to settle at 2.2078 dollars a gallon.
