Write: Tanasha [2011-05-20]
The Tyumen regional government and SIBUR subsidiary Tobolsk Polymer have signed an investment agreement on state support for a project to build a propylene and polypropylene complex in Tobolsk. The new propane-drying unit will have a capacity of 510,000 tpa propylene and 500,000 tpa of polypropylene. Construction of the plant is tentatively slated for completion in 2010 and the complex should be commissioned at the start of 2011.

In line with current legislation, the Tyumen government would provide the company with tax breaks on taxes to be paid to the regional budget. Tobolsk Polymer will guarantee implementation of the investment project that will usher economic and social benefits in the region by increasing the taxable base, creating new jobs and stimulating growth in small and mid-sized business. The agreement will last to the end of
2017.
