Indonesia to take measures on roaring oil price

JAKARTA, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla said on Tuesday that the country will take measures to deal with the roaring oil price problem which is likely to pass 100 U.S. dollars per barrel.

The vice president said that Indonesian government would take a step that could get beneficiary from the rise.

"With 100 U.S. dollars for per barrel, we must do something, such as boosting our oil production," Said Kalla.

Kalla said that the oil price would not hurt the country's economy, because it did not rely much on industrial sector, which would get the serious impact from the rise of oil price.

The vice president called top officials to be tough in facing the possible reaction of the possibly impact of the oil price hike.
