OPEC daily prices set new record

VIENNA -- The daily average oil prices of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) set a new record of 105.73 U.S. dollars per barrel (dpb) on Tuesday, the Vienna-based cartel said Wednesday.
The prices registered 1.71 dollars higher than the previous record of 104.02 dpb set on Monday and hit new high for the third time since April this year.
After three consecutive weeks of downward trend and fluctuation, the daily average prices re-stood above 100 dollars last Monday and set a record of 103.74 last Friday.
On the first and second trading days of this week, the prices further boosted from 104.02 dpb to 105.73 dpb.
