TEHRAN - Iran is currently exporting 2.5 million barrels of oil per day (bpd), Oil Minister Gholamhossein Nozari was quoted as saying on Sunday.
Nozari, quoted by the Oil Ministry website Shana, also said Iran received on average $120 per barrel for its crude. Shana noted this translated into daily oil income of $300 million.
The Islamic Republic is the world's fourth-largest oil producer.
"Iran is exporting 2.5 million barrels per day with an average price per barrel of $120," Nozari said.
Iran's OPEC governor early last month said Iran planned to boost oil exports to at least 2.5 million bpd in June.
Shipments from OPEC's second-largest oil exporter have rebounded from a fall of around 200,000 barrels per day in April and May when refinery maintenance reduced demand.
