Mexico's state-owned petroleum company, Pemex's September production of petrochemicals touched 1.014 mln metric tons of petrochemicals witnessing an YOY increase of 8.1%. Amongst the petrochemicals which saw a YOY increase include ethylene, ethylene-oxide, propylene, toluene and ethyl-benzene. Also, its output for benzene, ethyl-benzene, propylene, and toluene centered at 12,000 metric tons, 15,000 metric tons, 37,000 metric tons and 14,000 metric tons respectively.

In September, Pemex exported 58,200 metric tons of petrochemicals, up from 53,000 metric tons in same period previous year and thereby earning US$49.7 mln from exports. The company made total imports of 14,000 metric tons for the month spending US$9.4 mln in imports.
