Clean Air Power wins Australian natural gas bus deal

LONDON, Feb 18 - Clean Air Power (CAP) (CAPC.L) said its U.S. components business had won the first part of a deal worth about $480,000 to supply gas injectors to an Australian manufacturer of parts for natural gas-powered buses.

AIM-listed CAP, which develops technology allowing diesel vehicles to run on natural gas, said its components division in San Diego had secured the order, valued at around $260,000, from Australian group Advanced Engine Components Ltd (AEC).

Chief Executive John Pettitt said the deal meant 2009 sales to AEC should be more than double the $200,000 achieved between the two groups in 2008.
