TOKYO, June 19 - Nippon Oil Corp. (5001.T), Japan's biggest oil refiner, will halt operations at its 110,000 barrels-per-day crude distillation unit (CDU) at its Mizushima refinery from early July due to slow domestic demand, a newspaper said on Friday.
The CDU could be kept shut until it finishes maintenance scheduled in October, said the NenryoYushi, an energy industry newspaper.
The company also plans to refine 3.30 million kilolitres (670,000 barrels per day) of crude oil in July to meet domestic demand, down 25 percent from a year earlier, the paper said.
