Indian Oil Assam refinery catches fire, put out-TV

MUMBAI, Aug 30 - An Indian Oil Corp (IOC.BO) refinery in north east India's Assam state caught fire on Sunday but it was put out and no casualties were reported, television channel Times Now said.
The fire started at 0930 GMT but was put out "fairly quickly", the report said.
State-run Indian Oil controls more than half of India"s retail fuel market. Its refinery in Assam's Guwahati city has a capacity of processing 20,000 bpd of crude.
B.N. Bankapur, head of refineries at Indian Oil told Reuters: "The refinery is operating at the normal rate. There was a fire in the accumulated oil in one of the open channels. The fire was put out in five to six minutes."
