Woori Bank, the second largest commercial bank in the Republic of Korea (ROK), opened its first branch in northeast China Friday.

The new branch in the coastal city of Dalian, Liaoning Province, provides high-level financial service to ROK and Chinese enterprises and individuals, promoting economic exchange and cooperation between the two Asian nations.

In 2007, Woori Bank became the first Korean-funded bank to enter the China market.
