TORONTO, Jan 20 - Valero Energy Corp (VLO.N) said on Wednesday it was reshuffling and cutting back on staff in its oil products marketing division.
"We have said we were looking to streamline our operations," said Bill Day, a spokesman for the company.
"Some changes within the marketing group reflect this."
Day said he was unable to comment on specific moves.
It was unclear how many jobs were cut but sources said about six managers were let go from the company's headquarters in San Antonio, Texas.
Oil Price Information Service (OPIS) first reported the news of the changes on Tuesday.
