WARSAW, Jan. 28 - The Polish oil and gas corporation PGNiG, Russia's gas operator Gazprom Export and EuRoPol Gaz have signed an agreement on extra gas supplies to Poland, PGNiG said here in a press release on Thursday.

The agreement, signed in Moscow on Wednesday, prolongs the Yamal contract until Dec. 31, 2037 and gives the possibility to increase natural gas supplies to 10.2 million cubic meters annually, PGNiG said.

PGNiG also reported that the signed agreement prolonged the contract for gas transit through Poland via the Yamal pipeline until 2045 on the current terms.

PGNiG was negotiating extra gas supplies from Russia after last year's stoppage of a 2.3-billion-cubic-meter contingent from the Russian-Ukrainian corporation RosUkrEnergo. Russia and Poland signed an intergovernmental accord on extra gas supplies last December.
