Even though Chinese drivers still lagged behind their rivals abroad in the 2010 Asian car tournament which concluded on Sunday, they displayed amazing progress in skill along with the emerging Chinese car manufacturers.
It is a sign that China's car industry begins to be aware of the significance of race in showing the muscle of company, with many famous brands in China sent their own teams to the tournament.
Years ago, car race, which has long been the showcase for the car manufacturers, is still just limited to advertisement plate in China.
"It's very important because it's a great opportunity for the car manufacturers to show the cars and competing with other cars on the same level," said Patrik Sandell, champion of WRC in France.
"It's also good because you can test new things. That's in some years will be source of the road car so the rally is perfect for manufactures." explained Sandell.
