China Unicom, the country's No. 2 telco, yesterday reported its 3G user base hit 11.65 million by the end of October, a rise of 1.1 million in the month.
Its 2G user base reached 152.14 million by the end of last month.
Compared with 2G, the high-speed 3G brings telcos higher profit margin, industry insiders said.
