The nation's stock market rebounded 0.7 percent in thin trading Wednesday following a nearly 4 percent drop over the past two days, as investors started buying prop-erty and financial shares after tightening fears triggered by Saturday's interest rate rise by the central bank pushed down valuations.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose to 2,751.5 points, after closing Tuesday at 2,733 points on concerns that China will ramp up monetary tightening to fight inflation.
