The photo taken at 6 pm on Dec. 15 shows a severe traffic jam happening in Bayisi Avenue, downtown Ganzhou. Thousands of vehicles were blocked from Zhangjiang Bridge to Hongqi Avenue. Despite of the efforts by traffic police, the traffic jam lasted more than 1 hour. Due to the increasing number of vehicles, roads of the old downtown areas can not meet the traffic need, which makes the traffic management difficult.
