Framework Agreement between Xinyu and Central South University will be held

Framework Agreement between Xinyu and CentralSouthUniversity will be held at Beihu Hotel. Huang Boyun, President of Central South University and Deputy Chairman of ChineseAcademy of Science and Academician of the ChineseAcademy of Engineering, Mayor Li Anze, Secretary of Xinyu Committee of CPC attended the ceremony. Both sides sign the contract of framework agreement on comprehensively constructing the strategic partnership between Xinyu and CentralSouthUniversity and Agreement of building Xinyu Science and TechnologyIndustrial Park between Yang Tiangang Management Committee and CentralSouthUniversity .

Mayor Li Anze made a brief introduction about Xinyu s Economic and Social Development. He pointed that under the guidance of the spirit of the 17th National Congress of CPC and the Scientific Outlook on Development, Xinyu is advancing toward taking the lead in realizing the target of a comparatively well-off society in an all-round way and realizing urban and rural integration. Based on the principle of "priorities on development, enriching the people, science and education, environmental protection, and economization", the government is to build a resource-saving and environmentally friendly ecological garden city, and meanwhile to improve our economy to a high position in Jiangxi province. Focus on project construction, Xinyu government vigorously organizes and manages 10 enterprises of sales revenue over 10 billion RMB, 10 listed corporations, 10 projects of urban construction, social facilities, infrastructure and agriculture industrialization, 10 people's livelihood projects, 10 projects of energy saving and pollution reduction, 10 projects of technology innovation and 10 projects on ecological construction. The government will optimize economic structure, highlight industries of iron and steel, photovoltaic, new material and electric power, strengthen industries of excavation, rolling metal, food and medicine and so on, expand economy and improve the position as a central city, beautify both the city and the countryside. By the year of 2010, Xinyu will hopefully become a powerful commercial city by improve the industrial sales revenue to 150 billion RMB, GDP per capita 4,500 US dollars, the per capita disposable income for urban residents over 2,000 US dollars, per capita net income of rural residents over 800 US dollars, and GDP and the total government revenue respectively reach 50 billion RMB and 10 billion RMB.

Central SouthUniversity (CSU) is a comprehensive and national key university under the direct administration of the Ministry of Education in China . CSU was established in April, 2000 on the basis of the amalgamation of the three former individual universities, namely Central South University of Technology, Hunan Medical University and ChangshaRailwayUniversity . CSU is situated in Changsha, Hunan . Gao Wenbing is secretary of the Communist Party of China's CSU Committee, and Prof.Huang Baiyun, an academician of ChineseAcademy of Engineering, is president of CSU.
