On August 12, journalist saw that Nanchang new zoo's facilities and the landscape were under construction. The project will be completed by early October. After that, it will start the equipment installation and commissioning, and animals moving. The new zoo was hoped to open to public by the end of this year or the beginning of next year.
The old Nanchang zoo has more than 100 kinds of animals. The new zoo has constructed 8 exhibition areas, such as aquatic amphibious reptile animal exhibition area, America exhibition area, Australia exhibition area and African exhibition area. It can accommodate more than 10000 animals of more than 300 kinds.
