Dongguan's travel peak during the Spring Festival season is expected to arrive on February 5th and last to February 12th. Approximately 5.5 million of passenger are expected to journey during the period, Nanfang Daily reports.

According to the report, Dongguan's Spring Festival travel peak is expected to begin on February 5th, a litter later than last year, as many factories will defer the Spring Festival Vacation for their workers. Their business orders have showed a recovery as Dongguan's exports improve, the report says.
Around 1.1 million passengers are expected to take trains to leave Dongguan, compared to 4.35 million who are expected to take coaches and 36 thousand through water network.
As the railway network will implement a real-name ticket selling system to stop ticket scalping, the time for passengers' check in is expected to be longer than last year. Railway stations and coach terminals in Dongguan have been urged by the government to make quick response to any emergencies, and evacuate passengers timely when those emergencies occur.
