The day before yesterday, the contests of the categories of church choirs, mixed youths choirs, pop choirs, young male choirs etc. finally finished, which meant all the competitions of the 6th WCG had drawn to a close. Yesterday morning, the awarding ceremony of the 6th WCG(Part II) was held at Convention & Exhibition Center of China Textile City.
The second stage of the 6th WCG includes the open competitions of 6 categories such as youths choirs with equal voices, mixed youths choirs, etc. and the champions competitions of 8 categories such as youths choirs with equal voices, young male choirs and mixed male choirs, etc.
The closing ceremony of the 6th WCG was held at Convention & Exhibition Center of China Textile City yesterday evening, when the choirs which have won the championships in the contests of WCG(Part II) sang their award-winning songs, followed by the official closing ceremony. Then, the video program of Cincinnati, the host city of the 7th WCG was broadcast. Other activities include handing over the WCG flag, striking the peace bell, singing the WCG song and so on.
