Scorching hot weather continued to pervade most areas of Zhejiang on August 3 with record high temperature of this year. The highest temperature reached 38 to 40 or even above in some areas.
That was the third successive day that the provincial Meteorological Observatory issued orange alert of high temperature. Orange alert of high temperature was issued in 48 cities and counties and red alert of high temperature was issued by Jiande and Qingtian meteorological observatory.
High temperature will continue on August 4 and 5 and will very likely induce severe heatstroke, forecasted the provincial Meteorological Observatory. Precautions must be taken to prevent heatstroke and heat wave disaster.
